SI*īs Mission
SPiELBERG-iNVESTMENTS invests in nanotechnology and nano(bio)technology companies with a long term horizon. SI* does not provide own executive officers and takes part, risk limited by the calculated portfolio.
Finance bottlenecks (liquidity shortages)
The pullback of numerous banks of financing nanotechnology NT companies, the loss of receivables and/or the need of investments has lead to a liquidity deterioration of many companies. Existing orders can hardly be financed and low inventory levels harm operations as well as customer / client relationships. However these companies have in most cases efficient formations, experienced management teams and innovative technologies. SI* is a frequented venture capital partner in such situations.
Improve solvency
With SI*īs investments, the NT companies stay independant, with an experienced investor as a partner. Their customers, suppliers and banks believe in the future of the company and itīs products.
Grow profitably
Even if the NT companies have small returns or even losses at the time of SI*īs investment, the provision of fresh capital leads in most cases to an increase in profitability. The companies can finance their grow and enlarge their returns. It is SI*īs speciality to finance the profitable use of existing structures and innovations, whereas many other VC companies finance companies inefficient building of overhead.
Secure employment
SI* invests in specific cases also in reorganisations of companies. Returns shall not grow through reduction of employment. Building on existing structures SI* develops together with other VC firms strategies for valuable growth.
Grow
SI* strategically invests in small NT companies. The lean structures and pragmatic processes of SI* enable high returns at small investment volumes. Aims are above average growths rates and the flexibility of small companies. SI* is as VC partner a leading company in this challenging and competitive market segment of NT small and MicroCaps.
Think longterm
SI* invests own capital and does not administrate funds. For this reason SI* does not depend on selling of company shares. Exits and payouts are executed only after approval of the board and SI*īs investors.
